BRITISH PM BLAIR COMMENDS MACEDONIA'S SUCCESSFUL POLITICAL REFORMS
Speaking at the British Parliament Prime Minister Tony Blair commended the successful political reforms in Macedonia.
Addressing the MPs, Blair referred to the recent EU Summit in Brussels, emphasizing the deal on 2007-2013 Euro-budget.
Presenting the Summit's conclusions, Blair said that EU leaders granted Macedonia a candidate status for the membership, pointing out that it is a great success for Macedonian authorities and the way they handle the political reforms in the country. "This success has contributed Macedonia to become the candidate country for the EU membership," Blair said.
Leader of the opposition Conservative Party David Cameron also welcomed the EU decision on Macedonia.
Both Blair and Cameron used Macedonia's constitutional name during the parliamentary debate, which has already been a practice of official London.
